Bluegrass With Drive
Red Oak Station plays a combination of bluegrass, old country, and gospel music. Their unique style inspires crowd participation.
They feature strong lead vocals and tight harmony. With a combination of guitar, mandolin, banjo, and upright bass, there is a sweet ring to their music. They deliver the fast songs with drive and communicate the slow ones from the heart.
The name of the band, Red Oak Station, is from a small town in Oklahoma, where the lead singer, Carl O'Bryant's, family worked on the farm. They migrated from Red Oak in 1938. Music has been a part of his family as far back as he can remember. Stories of life in America, the bad times as well as the good, are in the music, which the band plays and sings.
Some of the band members have played together for over 25 years and formed their group five years ago. Playing and singing is their most comfortable way of communicating.
Red Oak Station is fun to watch. They involve the crowd with their great humor and lively music.
