Tim Walter

I have been singing as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are of singing solos in front of the congregation which my Dad pastored and of gathering around the piano after church to sing with my mom and brother and sisters. It didn't take long before Mom had us singing harmony to the Gaither tunes and Southern Gospel favorites she has always loved.

My path took me to various high school and college groups, voice lessons, operas and failed attempts at starting a music ministry. Only after the trial of losing my father when he was age 55 did the Lord begin to open the doors of opportunity for ministry in this area. It is now my privilege to be invited to various churches to encourage them in worship through song.

I have sung probably every style of music in many different languages but I now limit my selections to songs which encourage, uplift and challenge people in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord has blessed me with three current albums. Jesus Be My Guide and  Go Tell It feature a wide variety of songs including Inspirational, Southern Gospel, Contemporary and Praise Choruses. The latest one is called Dreamer and features the title song written about my father. My children frequently perform with me at concerts. As a music teacher and a Christian Dad, I believe in the power of music as a positive force for today's young people.

I am able to travel extensively from my Willamette Valley home with my family. It would be our pleasure to come and sing for your church or group event. For up to the minute concert information, it is best to contact me directly.
