Brenda Sowers

I can remember at an early age, sleeping under the pew of a small Pentecostal Church in central California and it didn't take long to know that my hearts desire was to serve God. So moved by Christian music and the way it touched my heart, I spent many hours in the cold back bedroom at my Grandmother's home singing and trying to teach myself how to play my aunt Faye's accordion. In my early teens, I sought help from any church piano player willing to give me a few minutes and spent lots more time practicing on the church piano after I'd finished cleaning the church (I greatly appreciate all of my family and friends that endured my self-taught practice sessions).
