THE LIGHTHOUSE GOSPEL QUARTET
The members of the Lighthouse Gospel Quartet are committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. “Every time we tell the Gospel story, something happens to somebody. The Lord is alive and well. He has given us a gift of harmony and a story to tell,” said Dick Fankhauser, the group’s tenor. Scott Hamilton sings lead or second tenor. Scott is a very accomplished vocalist and instrumentalist having spent most of his life in music performance and education as well as leading church music and worship. His father-in-law Denny Bogart sings bass and has been singing gospel music in various groups and as a soloist for many years. Tenor Dick Fankhauser has sung in a Pacific NW award winning barbershop quartet as well as several other gospel quartets over the years. Wayne Bays sings baritone. He is also a very talented instrumentalist and has performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
The quartet sings a variety of music from 4-part a-cappella to country gospel. Recently the quartet was part of a missions team to Brazil, singing 25 times in 19 days. The quartet has sung as part of a missions team in Brazil and Argentina. They have also sung in the Klamath Falls, Woodburn and Albany churches in Oregon as well as other churches in Washington and California.
