What a wonderful gift I was given for my fifty fifth birthday this year-becoming a part of the PGMA family!


Being a Gospel singer has always been a dream tucked away in my heart. As a child I would listen to singers at music conventions and rallies and long to be singing with them. Until a few years ago, however, I sang only occasionally in church groups, never venturing out on my own. I provided my own criteria of what God would use, and in my own eyes, I didn't meet the standards. But thanks to God's wonderful way of using time and situations to his glory, He has involved me in a music ministry that was never a part of my plans.I had so many excuses:too busy, too tired, too old, not good enough. God had other ideas, and He has helped me to understand that whatever abilities He has given us can be used to touch the hearts and souls of others if we first surrender those abilities to Him. What an exciting realization that in God's eyes, I am not "over the hill", and He is not finished with me yet. Praise the Lord.

Southern gospel is the music that made such an impact upon my heart and is now the music that I sing. I am available to sing wherever I am asked, and I am looking forward to meeting many other Christians who share in the bond of love with our Lord. God bless you.
